Sue Scott

Sue Scott was born and educated in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, where at an early age she developed a natural ability to draw. After attending Southend College of Art she moved to Suffolk with her husband and has been painting and exhibiting here ever since. Living on a working farm, nestled in the Deben valley, she finds inspiration from the beautiful surroundings and her passion for the countryside and life on the farm are clearly evident in her work. She is best known for her study of the working heavy horse, especially the Suffolk Punch, and is a loyal supporter of the Suffolk Horse Society.
In 2000 Sue became an Associate Member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and over the years has enjoyed having her work hung at their annual exhibition in London and also at Newmarket. Sue continues to support many local exhibitions and, as well as various commissions, has also illustrated three children’s books and produced a range of Christmas cards.
