Ray Sinclair
Ray Sinclair studied AS Photography at West Suffolk College and then continued onto graphic design and attained a National Diploma (A) Grade. He has recently graduated from a three year degree in graphic design at Anglian Ruskin in Cambridge. Raymond has always painted, while in education and along the course submitted some artwork to “Artist and Illustrators” magazine, in which two pieces were published in 2007. One year later, Photoshop Creative published an article on his mixed media illustrations. Later, Raymond entered the Suffolk showcase competition and they accepted a painting for the Bury St. Edmunds Art Gallery to hang in July and August 2009. 259 works were submitted and out of these 52 were selected.
In 2009, thanks to the previous publication, some of his work was spotted and showcased. Under the guidance of Ronnie Zimmermann and Helen Hofmann a show of some artwork was held abroad, in July of 2009. Ray finished the year with an exhibition in Liverpool.
This year (2010) has been very successful so far for Ray. In July and August, Ray succeeded in entering the summer show in Bury Art Gallery for the second consecutive year and the same painting has been published again in the magazine “Artists and Illustrators”.
