Jessica Bardosh

Photographing to explore the world, Jessica utilises the photographic image as she would words, composing images in a form of visual prose. Born into a creative household in Montreal, Canada, her work reflects influences in painting, dance and poetry. She pursued her studies in fine art photography at Bennington College, where her view of the world was transformed by the peace and serenity of the Vermont woodlands. Ever changing, the thread that weaves through her work, is a sense of stillness within the ephemeral. Jessica enjoys capturing collaborative artistic endeavors, and in 2009 worked for a Vancouver-based music publication as their head staff Photographer. Covering over a hundred concerts within the year, a volume of abstract music imagery blossomed. Showcased in this exhibition of her work, is a juxtaposition of concert and abstract music photography entitled “Abstracted Musicians”.
